These are the three orders you can select the following list for your Instagram:
1. Standard: If you set your next list as default, you’ll see at the top the people you’ve interacted with or interacted with most recently. However, that is not always the case. There may be times when the default mode randomly sets the Instagram order.
2. Last: If you set the order of your Instagram order to Last, you’ll see the people you’ve recently followed at the top. As you scroll down, you’ll see the profiles you’ve followed, from newest to oldest.
3. earliest: By setting your Instagram order to Earliest, you’ll see the first person you’ve followed on Instagram at the top. I find this setting nostalgic. Looking at who followed you when you first created this account can bring back a lot of memories. This setting shows you the order in which you followed different users on Instagram.

Instagram follows list order of other people’s account
What do you do in today’s time when your loved one is behaving suspiciously? You check their Instagram follow list to find the new people they’ve started following. Well, that’s not going to work. How you view someone’s Instagram order in the list used to be completely random. Instagram kept switching between chronological view and alphabetical view.
Now, however, the Instagram order of others’ account is not completely random. If you look at the following list of different profiles, you can find a pattern. Here’s the pattern you’ll find when you check someone’s Instagram follow list.
First category: The first category to appear on someone’s next list is the accounts you follow† These are the accounts that are common between you and the user whose next list you are checking. This means that you both follow these profiles.
Second category: The second category to appear on someone’s next list is the people who follow you but you don’t follow them back† These accounts are followed by the user whose next list you are checking.
Third category: The third category that appears on one’s next list is the people with whom you have the most mutual followers†
Fourth category: The fourth category contains the last people on the list. These are the users you are likely to follow†
Finally, Instagram tailors the following list order of the other users to you. It does not show who has recently followed that person. So another user’s Instagram order also depends on you.

Instagram Watchlist Order Algorithm
The order of Instagram order is determined by many things. While it starts with the mutual followers, it then divides into less common factors. Here are some of the factors that help set the Instagram order in the list.
1. People you follow
The first people you see on the following lists of other users are your mutual friends. These are the regular people that you and the other user follow. You will see the following button for these profiles. These profiles are at the top of the list because Instagram believes you would be interested in seeing your well-known mutual profiles.
The next factor that affects an account’s ranking on someone’s next list is your interaction with them. I’ve told you before that when you view someone’s next list, it is set in accordance with you. So whether you hang out with someone or not can affect their position in the following list. Interaction here doesn’t just mean messaging each other. It also shows if you regularly like and comment on each other’s posts.

3. Mutual Followers
First let me tell you what mutual followers mean in this regard. A mutual follower is a person who follows you and the account you are stalking. It doesn’t matter if you follow them back or not. If you and the person following the list you’re stalking have the same followers, they’ll be at the top of the next list.
4. People who have recently followed you
The next thing that affects someone’s Instagram followlist algorithm is the people who have followed you recently. Following someone is a form of interaction. Since this account has recently started following you, Instagram assumes that you would be interested in their profile. That’s why people who have followed you recently are at the top or in the middle of the following list.
There is a suspicion that people who follow you are at the top of someone’s watch list. However, that is not the case. No matter how many times someone stalks you, they won’t make it to the top of the next list unless they’ve interacted with your account. If they like your photos and only message you, they could be at the top of the list.
Another factor that affects one’s Instagram followlist algorithm is geolocation. On the following list from someone else, you’ll see the people who live near you at the top. For example, if you live in the US and you stalk the following list from someone who lives in the UK. If that person follows someone from the US, then that person is most likely to appear at the top.

7. Verified Accounts
The last factor influencing anyone’s next list is verified accounts. For some reason, Instagram puts the verified accounts and brand accounts at the end of the following reason. No explanation is given for this. If you check someone’s Instagram according to the list order, you will see that the verified accounts come to the end of the list.
It’s time to wrap up! In this article, I have told you how to organize Instagram follow list. If until now you thought that the following list is set arbitrarily, you are wrong. The following list is influenced by a number of factors. It depends on whether you’re checking your own list of followers or stalking someone else’s list. In both scenarios, the following list is ordered by different patterns.
